I agree, I cannot think of a use case for an F35C with a rotating engine like a B model. "Are we sure that same jet was hovering?" - This is my next question. If Michal confirms that yes, the hovering jet, the jet in the video and the pictures are the same, then I am stumped. As for the possible F35 taking off from groom... I believe I see an F16, which would also make more sense. But IIRC, I have seen a satellite image of an F-18 Super Hornet sitting on the north ramp,... so it isnt impossible.
