Can confirm the F-35 in Michel's video is a Navy C-Model.

Are we sure that same jet was hovering?

The C model is quite a bit heavier than the B (wing, structure, fuel), plus the longer wings lack the roll posts outboard of the landing gear required for a stable hover.

I'm also struggling to find a viable operational requirement for what would be such a major investment.
