If indeed the mission aircraft was the B-21 the tanker may have been for a chase aircraft. I doubt the B-21 is AAR capable yet. Or that it would require fuel for a 2 hour mission.

Also could have been AAR certification for the RQ-180. It is rumored to fly out of Edwards or Plant 42 with the mission control center at Beale.
