I've read Peebles book and IMO he's the biggest naysayer out there on any new secret aircraft technology being employed when we know based on sightings or radio transmissions that things are out there. It's an interesting book but there's multiple things he pooh-poohs that were based on actual sightings or air-to-ground transmissions that he felt were "security guards fooling around with radios". Given security uses completely different frequencies than air traffic control that's just one of the things I could point to. And yes, Chris Gibson did see something interesting. He's very fortunate, I can't imagine what he must have felt seeing that.
