Hi Joerg,

I just read the page on the New Yucca Airstrip, great piece! However, I’m pretty sure the X-44A never flew from Yucca as it’s maiden flight was a year before the Yucca airstrip was build. Also, I’m pretty sure the X-44A was a very black and sight sensitive airframe back then as it was the precursor that eventually led to the RQ-170.

I would bet that it flew out of Groom, or maybe TTR.

I’m sure a lot of spooky stuff goes on at the Yucca Airstrip, but I think they are used for systems, not prototype airframes.
