I would be amazed if the RQ-170 flew out of Yucca at all. The RQ-170 was deep, deep black until it eventually became grey when it was first photographed. The RQ-170 was most probably developed at Groom. What else would be black enough to be developed at Groom if not the first operational stealth drone?

It eventually moved to Tonopah, probably in 2005 when the 30th Reconnaissance Squadron moved in at TTR.

I don’t think any sight sensitive programs flew out of Yucca.
