I agree. Peter mentions in his book that the development of the rq170 was with support from Det 3, AFFTC, which to my understanding is groom...no? First flight of the 170 was December 13, 2005. P-175 first flight was Feb 2005. There is a picture of it landing on the Yucca flat (from first flight or not, I dont know) as you can see the runway lines in the image (page 410) and, for the first time, in the 06/2005 GE imagery.

In Feb 2005 site 6 has a hangar but a dirt runway, then in September 2005 they pave the runway and add a pad outside the hangar. *This is just months before the 170s first flight.* It was in January 2005 that the tent hangar (pictured a few posts back by Desert Watchdog) was put up just beside Yucca. *This is just one month before the 175's first flight.*

In my opinion: The Polecat is the reason for the tent/dome hangar and the creation of a 'runway' on the Yucca lake, and the 170 sparked the expansion at area 6.

Thats my 2 cents, feel free to disagree/ say what you think.
