The RQ-170 designation for the Sentinel UAV borrowed the number 170 from the Sentinel's project number, P-170, and even though the P-175 Polecat flew ten months before the RQ-170, the fact that the P-175 designation is subsequent to P-170 along with the P-175 itself being merely a technology demonstrator further make it highly likely that "RQ-180" was made-up by people who thought that the Northrop Grumman P-ISR flying wing looked like a scaled-up RQ-170 given that the "RQ-180" is derived from one of Northrop Grumman's SensorCraft design studies.
