Having bumped into you on Reddit regarding your book, I'll say again here, I remember a piece of your source material written by Skip Holm in 1985 called "Article Airborne". It launched my own personal interest on Black aircraft and their bases. Sadly I lost my magazine collection from childhood but in hindsight I thought it was a bit cheeky of a test pilot of the Skunk Works latest black jet lifted the veil on the both the genesis of the origin of the U-2 and without naming it as such, the newly established facility at Groom Lake. Thank you sir for bringing my journey full circle, and thanks to the DLR community and to Joerg Arnu for his determination to separate fantasy from reality given the pop culture status of the site.
