Thanks for the tip on this Peter. Looking at the planning docs for the base, 95th Reconnaissance Squadron RC-135 ops are moving from RAF Mildenhall to RAF Fairford and work is being carried out for their arrival. A new "Multi-Purpose Hangar" complex is also almost complete. The 4 new hangars measure 105ft x 195ft - perfect for high aspect ratio winged aircraft like the B-2, B-21, Globe Hawk, or RQ-180. https://publicaccess.cotswold.gov.uk/online-applications/files/02D7392AD129751615D988FD510404E5/pdf/19_04349_SCR-EIA_SCREENING_REPORT-1404036.pdf I can't find any reference to flight hours in the environmental report, however, I did find this MOD document "Enabling Remotely Piloted Aircraft Operations from RAF Fairford": https://dronewars.net/wp-content/uploads/2023/07/Stage_2A_Initial_Options_Engagement_Letter.pdf "There is an emerging requirement for military aircraft, including Remotely Piloted Aircraft (RPA), to operate regularly from RAF Fairford. Very interesting indeed...
...
This ACP aims to establish suitable segregated airspace to enable RPA transition between RAF Fairford and medium- or high-altitude transit.
...
RAF Fairford ... is home to the 99th Expeditionary Reconnaissance Squadron and supports Bomber Task Force operations.
...
all activations will be between 1 hour after sunset and 1 hour before sunrise unless in extremis, which would be subject to case-by-case approval by the CAA. Each activation would be subject to a NOTAM at least 24 hours in advance.
