OT (sort of): Counter-Drone Legislation Needs a Major Overhaul

The attached article may explain the heavy handed FBI raid of my properties last month. There is a major push to tighten drone restrictions and to give "local authorities" the right to employ anti-drone technology. According to the article currently "only the Department of Justice, Department of Energy, Department of Defense and the Department of Homeland Security have authority to use technology to stop drones in flight." The Air Force does NOT have the authority to employ such technology and "These agencies cannot delegate that authority to local or state law enforcement agencies."

Over six weeks after the raid I still have not been able to get an update from the FBI so I can only guess what their motive for this clearly unjustified operation was.
