No worries. Having done plenty of hiking in the seemingly hostile desert environment around here I can say that such a hike for several days, alone, covering dozens of miles with no way out, takes a lot of planning, courage and confidence in ones abilities. On top of that in an area where, IF you encounter other humans, the very best possible outcome you can hope for is for you to be arrested. IF he did what he said he did he has my utmost respect.
