6AM Sonic Booms In SoCal

An internet friend who lives out in Southern California has reported a series of small earthquakes (2.0, 2.5)/sonic booms all around 6AM over the past couple weeks. My first thought was the "skyquakes" I lived through while stationed out in southern CA back in the 1980s/90s.

Back then the booms were attributed to Aurora or some other fastmover project. Now 30 years later it's like "Son Of Aurora" is making noise in the skies of CA and NV.

Anyone else hearing talk about a return of the skyquakes and what could be the cause this time?
