Ok, no bites, so I will ask the obvious question myself: Why would they run a new 69 kV power line all the way across Tikaboo Valley to power the remote sites, when there are much more powerful lines already in place, coming in from the NTS, much closer to the remote sites? I am afraid the answer is politics. There are plans to substantially upgrade the backbone that the new lines would tie into. And once an easement is granted, it is much easier later to upgrade these line. This is only the beginning...
