From my experience no, the old outher marker would be far too off the center line to work. However, They may not need an outer Marker antenna. At LAX they have it attached to the ILS system it self. Also they may be using TACAN system witch is slightly diffrent from the standard ILS system. I am even more fuzzy on how that works.
