I kludged around the FAA sites looking for further mention of "TKM", but came up empty. It seems like a lot of effort is spent to conceal an obvious facility. I wonder how many are employed to accomplish this task. Maybe I'm missing some important point?
Here is the definition of Tie-In.
---------
1-2-10 Tie-In Facility
The ‘‘FAA TIE-IN FACILITY’’ is the telecommunications facility that handles flight plan messages for the listed landing facility or navigational aid.
Hence the further confusion. According to that definition, TKM would be handling comms for TNX. Unfortunately, TKM does not officially exist, according to the FAA.
