Obviously a lot of effort to deal with the crazy aunt. DOD must employ a lot of labor to "filter" data. Flight tracking data, departure/arrival manipulation, etc. It's hard to speculate on the point of all this. The location is obvious. Why expend the resources to alter data on a near real-time basis? Either it's a gross oversight or due to genuine security concerns. Shared radar sites are probably convenient, but when does it wash out? There has to be a good reason for the expenditures. I'm just thinking out loud, so there is probably a reasonable explanation. The place has been exposed all over the net for years, so what's the point in continuing the charade?
