Thanks! I learned something about the Bloodhound call. However, it appears to be a different ACTS ("Airborne Command Transmitter System"). I was referring to the "Air Combat Training System" (gotta love these acronyms!) in the NTTR. Basically an inverted GPS system that allows aircraft to triangulate (and report) their position based on signals from ground stations in known locations. There are 15 such sites in the NTTR. The system allows 3D monitoring and later replay of the air-air combat. With Red Flag increasingly utilizing R-2508 it would make sense to expand the system to include that airspace.

OTOH I am seeing indications that they are moving away from the ground stations and perhaps utilizing GPS for location.
