With a reminder that we don't delve into politics on this thread... The President mentioned maneuverability twice. I think most of us likely assumed the days of dogfighting are long past. Future conflicts will almost certainly be BVR. So why would maneuverability be important here? I get speed, stealth, power (to run all the avionics), and range. Do you all think he was just speaking off the cuff and assumes a fighter should be maneuverable so this one must be the best at that, too? Or is this something specific that USAF or Boeing wanted mentioned? (Maybe the fighter mafia still has their teeth in the Phantom Works?)
