Just thinking out loud here...

If there indeed was something to spot, do we really think they'd call in uncleared LASD assets (with their night vision and thermal cameras) to secure the perimeter?

Or is there a chance they've got LASD pilots and observers read in on a sight-sensitive program to be able to provide aerial security?
