It's very disappointing to say the least, my friend. I hope you both are fine though and feel good. Gabriela and I, we are both with our warmest regards to both of you. We are sorry to hear that you experienced this. When reading it I felt like "Gosh, I wish I wasn't there at the time, I would be there to help with no hesitation!". That situation reminds my of my first visit up there, in October 2022. I had no flat tire at the time but my car broke just in a matter of several hours before my departure back to Europe. Car rental companies are not much better when it comes to reactions if some bad scenerio happens, I called certain renting company to spent over half of an hour on a phone to not get any direct help, they offered to send an Uber for me that would take me back to Vegas but as soon as they ordered one, the driver resigned without letting me know even! I called them back just to get to know that they had no records of anyone calling before asking for a help! That made me really nervous at the time and I was so furious that it led me to have an argument with staff at car rental in Vegas because they promised to prepare replacement car instatnly knowing that I'm in rush. My flight back to Poland was at the same day in the evening, but I was supposed to leave from LAX... that's about 4,5hours of drive from Vegas. Mind you, I arrived at the gate as one of the last passengers and I could take my flight. That was my first real experience with that desert, so crazy! I was so glad my car didn't broke a day before, when I was visiting TTR for Brainwash Butte. There I had no ceilling, no coverage service, nothing, if I would stuck there I think I would not write down this post here now, haha. But something important to say at this point. People and motel staff in Alamo are good guys, they did their best to provide me as much help as needed. I guess if they decided to leave me with this alone, I would definitely NOT catch my flight. It was one of those situations when every minute count and they should get a gold medal for thier service that day! As Joerg said, don't break down there. It's outstanding place to visit and see and I simply love it but if there won't be anyone to assist and help, you are dead...
