USAF seeks a fast reduction in NGAD costs

- USAF now referring to a "redesign" of the NGAD process
- stressing the importance of low-cost, rapidly-fieldable rather than expensive, exquisite, extreme stealth designs
- want something less than $90M per airframe - way down from $300M+ target Kendall had talked about

Fiscal realities have intercepted NGAD. Whatever comes out of the program now, will be much cheaper.
