For a single aircraft it may not make sense to deploy a tanker. Easier and probably cheaper to land. In the 9/18 mission the pilot of LIMA 91 specifically requests the fuel trucks to await him at the north end of the runway. That would ensure a quick turnaround, but still slower than filling up from an airborne tanker.
