I've had the same questions about the Loyal Wingman concept. For example, if they get beyond line of sight, what is stopping a nefarious actor from being able to hack in?
The loss of the RQ-170 in Iran back in 2011 has always seemed like a wake-up call, but I'm not anywhere close to smart enough to have any kind of intelligent insight other than, "How's that going to work?"
