McDonnell simply said that the USAF general told him that of five classified aircraft being tested by the Air Force in the 1980s, three weren't designed for high-speed flight. The USAF general to whom McDonnell spoke didn't say whether the F-117, Tacit Blue, or the yet-to-be-declassified Lockheed unmanned air vehicle flown in 1986 were among the classified aircraft mentioned by him as not capable of high-speed flight. That's why my best guess is that the classified Lockheed unmanned air vehicle mentioned in the book "Dreamland: The Secret History of Area 51" is one of the three subsonic aircraft alluded to by the AF general.

Regarding whatever possible classified Mach 6 aircraft was being mentioned by the USAF general to whom Sandy McDonnell spoke to, I can only speculate that this Mach 6 vehicle could have merely a rocket-boosted, air-launched miniature scramjet testbed because Paul Czysz (with whom McDonnell was familiar) noted that flight tests of the RIM-50 Typhon LR missile along with the AQM-60 Kingfisher indicated that sustained air-breathing flight past Mach 4 might be feasible.
