I still wonder if a network of down/forward looking EO/IR sensors mounted to high altitude balloons staged around an aircraft's operating area could potentially detect LO aircraft like the B-2, P-ISR, and B-21 when viewing them from above & behind.

Even though these aircraft can minimize their RCS, electronic emissions, and thermal signatures, they still have to be pushing out some degree of localized thermal radiation that doesn't match the background when they're up high. Here's to hoping that's not actually a problem :)
