So somewhat funny story about RATSCAT. I was flying ECS missions out of White Sands with multiple routes all around the range. One took us almost over the top and I clearly knew exactly what it was. I noticed there was something on the pole so I just verified we were cleared on that route over the facility. Clearly the higher ranking officer quickly responded, “WHAT FACILITY?!?” Nothing else was ever said, but we weren’t assigned that route again and it was removed from future missions. 😁
