It was only the final configuration of the XST model (eventually designated HAVE BLUE) that was tested at White Sands. The full-scale model was mounted on a pylon at the Radar Target Scatter (RATSCAT) facility for RCS measurements. The full-scale Northrop XST model was also tested on the RATSCAT measurement range. It's no secret that White Sands Missile Range has been used for all sorts of testing involving rockets and missiles, parachutes/decelerators for air and space payloads, RCS measurements, weapons effects, directed energy, electromagnetics environments, and nuclear capabilities.
