The maiden flight of the B-21 will be public to the extent that it has to fly from Air Force Plant 42, an airport located in a heavily populated metropolitan area, to nearby Edwards Air Force Base. from some parts of Antelope valley, you can see both airfields simultaneously. When the B-2 made its first flight, there were crowds of local residents and visitors from other areas watching from outside the AF Plant 42 boundary.

The Air Force has been more than usually interested in keeping the Raider's secrets. That includes details of the airplane's trailing edge. If the B-21 makes its maiden flight at night (something not without precedent), then aviation enthusiasts may not get to see much of anything when it does finally fly.
