My understanding re: B-2 development is that it was intended to be high altitude only, but later on in development low altitude penetration was added as a feature that was needed - this is why we see the saw tooth design on the back of the B-2 rather than that single triangular point that we see on the RQ170, RQ180, polecat, and other flying wings. Of course, the name Aurora has been commonly linked to the B-2 program. Whether what was seen in 1989 or crashed at boscomb down in 1994 was the "Aurora", some other fast mover, F-23B prototype, F-117 companion,....well, you see where I'm going with this - the rumors are the rumors. Personally I believe we have a fast mover, it wasn't/isn't named Aurora, and I would guess the NRO has ownership of it because they are the best at not talking...just a hunch.
