That's a lot of money for a coin that has nothing to do with Area 51. Literally, nothing. It is from a Global Hawk unit on Guam. As I mentioned in a previous thread, the seller erroneously describes this item as "AREA 51 CIA AF Special Projects DET 3 Silent Hunters Magic Carpet Ride Coin." In reality, this coin has nothing whatsoever to do with Area 51, the CIA, or USAF special projects. This coin was made to be presented by Lt.Col. Raymond Simmons, commander of Detachment 3 of the 9th Operations Group at Andersen AFB, Guam. At the time of issue (circa 2011), Det 3, 9th OG, operated the RQ-4 Global Hawk UAV.
