My guess, Joerg, is that the aircraft became disabled in such a way it wasn't possible to tow it into a hangar - perhaps a partial landing gear collapse, or even a melted bearing.

I think the photo shows a rapid-erect shelter that is only partially completed. Aluminum frame goes up, then fabric covering is stretched over the frame.

I'd bet that a photo taken today would show that the aircraft is now hidden under the fabric shelter.
