Sounds like you used what is called eyepiece projection for your photos. That is shooting through an eyepiece, as opposed to using only the front lens of the scope and attaching the camera to the open back of the scope. Eyepiece projection gets you higher magnification but is very difficult to get it right. I used only the front lens of the C-5 and attached the camera with what is known as a T-adapter to the open end of the scope.

Looks like you got a lot of good input from our members. Whatever you end up using, please keep us posted what you used and how it works out.
