Was also wondering about a potential return to Edwards, as CA 58 is only a couple of hundred meters away from the north-eastern end of the runway of Edwards North Base, for example the exit to Claymine Rd

Possibly not the spot where I would like to hang out all day to watch for some interesting visitor (and certainly not at night), but still an aircraft on approach should already be pretty low at that position, I would assume.

On approach from south-west, it would be over restricted area for longer and could possibly "circle down" but still that end of the runway is also not much further away from a public road, maybe 1.5 km and some of the CA 58 ramp areas appear to be elevated and offer a glorious view of the CA desert according to Google streetview.

Certainly not like Guam with the dense tropical vegetation at Ritidian Beach - unfortunately been to this place only on Google ;-)

How long before sunset did you take your picture?
