Joerg, Forgive my ignorance but a question on transponders. Would a dod uav require flipping on a transponder when entering civilian controlled airspace? If so, would that limit where it originated or departed?
Another thought: How long did you spend at the location before you spotted it? Just wondering if you happened to catch the article as it was wrapping up a late evening/early morning exercise? Any support craft in the area?
