Unless my math is flawed (which is entirely possible) an aircraft with a wing span of 130ft would have been at over 76,000ft. Certainly a possibility. Could an aircraft at that altitude produce a contrail? There was a thin layer of high altitude cirrus clouds and the aircraft was clearly above that.
