The Tonopah Test Range is listed in Department of Energy phone directories, and other DOE documents, as Area 52. The TTR Airfield is located within a subsection of TTR designated Area 10, which should not be confused with Area 10 at the Nevada Test Site (now the Nevada National Security Site). It's confusing and counterintuitive, but there it is.
