I worked at TTR from 1990-1992 active duty, and 1993-1996 as a civilian contractor. Never heard the term "Area 52" the entire time I was there. In fact my "area flightline driving permit" ( I still have it) says Area 10. Not sure when it became Area 52 but after my time for sure.
