I would be surprised if this was anything other than a test for hypersonic missiles being launched out of NTTS. Although I certainly hope I’m wrong and this is a manned prototype.

Also, whatever caused those sonic booms in the nineties, I don’t believe they’re from a platform we don’t know about. I am absolutely sure there are black projects out there, even operational ones.

But at the same time I don’t think there are any black platforms 25+ years old that we don’t know about. After so many years, with all our resources available, we would at least have an inkling of what and how. Just like we’ve never seen an RQ-180 (well, not confirmed), nor a Stealth Black Hawk. But we’re pretty sure they exist.

25-30 years later, if any hypersonic planes were flying around, we would know.
