Caught an interesting transmission from SCAN04 to SCAN05 during tonight's mission. There is a reference to finishing the arc and then flying through 74A to set up for the short range orbit. That supports what I said earlier that both flight paths are centered around the same point (in Frenchman Flat). One with a wider radius/range and one with a shorter radius/range.
