Thanks, a data link sounds plausible. There is almost certainly also a ground station involved. The flight path is always centered around the same spot on Frenchman Flat. Tonight's flight shows them in a tight circle at the moment but even the wider arc around the north side of the "box" they flew earlier is centered on the same spot on Frenchman Flat.
