Agreed! I think there is a bigger question now! A51 isn't new so why haven't they separated the base in the past? This new construction brings an entirely new blueprint to the base. To me it means one of two things: Either A51 is running out of old usable space in hangars, or a new way of thinking about base layout and presence is being laid out? Since Lockheed Martin has publicized that it will be developing the SR-72 airplane, most industry people know at some point it will be flown out of A51. Which is interesting becauses it brings the Gray World to A51 instead of a completely Black one, which it could have done? Which leads to another question of Why all these projects coming to light in short span being publicized?
