Why did you guys nickname them "Ash Cans?"

Was it because the satellites looked like an ash can all klunky like, a code name or just circa 1960's Americana?

BTW, TD, I attended the panel discussion at the Atomic Testing Museum, you guys made me laugh with all the stories. You guys should be put behind glass in the Smithsonian as you are all National Treasures! God Bless!
