The drag chutes aren't as good. The Blackbird was known to fly up 200 mph and the fact is that when it landed it was extremely hot that they had to wait about 3 maybe 5 hours to actually work on one.

As you can see, the long runway would've been useful. Now if they are still working on the Aurora and it had somewhat the same speed.
