I was right in the middle of the Rholite compromise to the Russians and when the movie, "The Falcon and the Snowman" was being shot, the actual satellite was used because it was impossibel to tell what it could do by looking at it.
One of the bigger problems we had was Aviation Weekly. They would find the name of special (black) project and publish it. We then had to debrief everyone off the project, re-name the project and re-brief to a "new" project. Very costly and time consuming.
