The are changing to the Groom approach, a non-published though easily acquired frequency. Now why would these innocent Janet planes be talking to some secret base?? No, better to have Mother or Joker do the talking to the secret base.

I have no idea why they change the transponder code. The code is always of the form 033x, where x is a digit. I think 0334 is the highest I ever heard, but I never made a practice of logging the codes.
