While I am not so sure of the fish in Slater Lake I can tell you that Nesbit Lake, just north of the turn off for 375 on 318 has a trout population. Joe Travis caught a 18" Rainbow there several years ago if memory serves me. The Pahranagat lakes are listed as fishing holes on the Nevada State parks list. I was told the lakes have Bass but are shallow structured and tough to fish.
