Love the site but not a fan of the format. I locate new posts by scanning for unread links that show yellow on my browser...posts I've already read change to green which persists due to their presence in the browser history which times out after 90 days. When a specific page's 90-day history times out, the link goes yellow again, appearing to be unread. Because the forum messages are sorted by the time the "Parent" post was made and not when a reply is posted, I have to scan the page (and there are a LOT of posts which is a good thing) to find new replies. Problem is these look exactly like timed-out posts I've already read.
