I'm here in the Poconos, about 15 mins from the NJ boarder and 30 mins from the main part of the action. I really think a lot of this is just normal air traffic, general aviation that is still in the air at night and probably some hobby/commercial drones.
We live directly under the flight path into ny center, most planes are going into KEWR, KTEB, KJFK and about 5 other airports. We have seen the lights "floating" in the sky since we moved here 18 years ago. But those floating lights are just airliners and private jets 10-50 miles out coming into ny center.
I fly my drone almost every night and have not seen anything odd even though there are reports now of "drones" in the Poconos.
