Hi Joerg, I had a chance to speak to someone recently who did RF "stuff" for the likes of NASA, DSN, and DOD as well as industry. Somehow the subject of passive radar came up, and it was mentioned that modulation on the signal is helpful in the process, particularly wideband modulation. It was also mentioned that rock music tends to create a higher modulation "density" (peak to average ratio) than, say, talk or classical music, which made it preferable. I imagine a white noise source would be best, but remembered the goal is probably to use existing transmitters just doing their broadcasting thing and having no clue what they're a part of. I watched your video, and concur with your estimates as to location of the second station.
